Mailam, the Electronics & Communication Engineering College in Tamil Nadu, has undergone a host of admirable changes. Interactive sessions, conducting seminars, workshops etc. are the added academic exercises dwelt upon by the Department, in the making of an engineer beyond compare.

The objectives for the establishment of the Department are in line with the vision of MEC to become an exemplary institute of nationally acknowledged stature and excellence in teaching, research and scholarship. Furthermore, our academic program and learning environment.
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Mailam, the best Electronics & Communication Engineering College in Tamil Nadu was first started in 1998 with the aim of providing our state and our nation, with quality graduates who will contribute to the development of the country in meeting the Vision of MEC. To achieve the vision and goals of the department, it is necessary that all concerned would need to work together and invest in mental and physical energies to uphold the name of the department. The intake of students and the number of faculty members in the Department has been steadily increasing. Digital Signal Processing Laboratory
The objective of the laboratory is to enable the students to simulate and experiment with digital signals and systems and apply the theory they have studied in DSP courses. Students can implement digital signal processing algorithms using different computational platforms and DSP tools. They can critically analyze the behavior of their implementation and observe the specific limitations inherent to the computational platform and tools.
